Developers of R, Hello. My name is Niels Waller and I am the "Computer Program Exchange" editor of Applied Psychological Measurement (APM). APM is one of the top journals in the field of psychometrics. The journal publishes new developments or interesting applications of psychometric methods. It also publishes brief (1 or 2 typeset pages) announcements of free programs that would be of interest to our readership. APM is described more fully at: http://www.sagepub.co.uk/frame.html?http://www.sagepub.co.uk/journals/detail s/j0071.html As a long-time user of S-PLUS, I have fallen in love with R (in fact, I prefer R for simulation work as it is often much faster for my problems) and I am confident that many other social scientists/psychometricians will also appreciate what R has to offer. Therefore, I would like to invite someone from the R development team to write a brief description of the program for publication. If anyone is interesting in this project they may contact me via the information provided below.
