the man page for sys.calls(), sys.frames(), sys.parents(), etc. lists
sys.nframe() and sys.function() in the usage section (and sys.nframe()
shows up in the examples), but they are never mentioned in the text of
the man page.
my suggested text for sys.nframe is, "sys.nframe returns the current size
of the frame stack, i.e., the frame number of the caller." i have no idea
what sys.function does.
also,
> sys.call and sys.frame both accept either positive or negative values
> for the argument which. Positive values of which are normal frame numbers
> whereas negative values are counted back from the frame number of the
> current evaluation.
i believe this should be "accept integer values for the argument
which", and
"Non-negative values of which are normal frame numbers"
