I've installed `R', and am beginning to learn about it. I found a copy of "The New S Language", which has a copyright dated 1988. The `R' README says it's 1998 though. Is there a newer version, or is the README in error? Has anyone tried to get them to release the sources to the Blue Book? It says it was typeset with `troff'. What are the odds they'd do that? Do they still sell `S'? Do I own a rare book? Or are there enough copies out there to meet demand? Maybe I should memorize and eat it. -- A few months in the laboratory often saves several hours at the library. mailto:karlheg@debian.org (Karl M.
