R devel - May 2000 - Segmentation Fault of unknown cause (PR#545)

Hello!

I'm afraid I have another obscure bug. 
R has just crashed with a segmentation fault. 
This time, I have even failed to reproduce it, but fortunately, 
I have a core dump. It's at

The call I did was 
log10(quantile(chisqtests5M11001, c(0.05, 0.95)))
where chisqtests5M11001 is an array of length 1500 
(it's an array of p-values produced by the chisq.test, but I 
doubt that it is relevant). 

I did lots of strange things prior to the crash, some even 
involving for-loops, but I can't tell what is relevant. Anyway,
a transcript of the session is at
