Dear Windows / WinEdt users! A new version of the "R-WinEdt package" is available now. (I know, Prof Brian D Ripley is not "... [enthusiastic] using it [WinEdt] with an Open Source project.") There are a few important improvements (and some bugfixes). If you are interested, have a look at: http://www.statistik.uni-dortmund.de/leute/ligges.htm (or in a few days on CRAN, I suppose). Requirements: - Windows 32bit - R-1.0.0 or later (one feature depends on R-1.1.0, in development) - WinEdt 5 (build 20000415 or later) Feel free to send bug reports, comments and feature requests. Important part of the ReadMe: ============================================================ Features: --------- - Syntax-Highlighting (and highlighted printing) (function index of all packages available at CRAN /bin/windows/windows-NT/contrib/ , last update: 05.03.2000, R-1.0.0). - Many R functions at the same time in the same editor. - Buttons / Shortcuts for simple access (one click) to: - Save document and source(.) into R. - Paste selected code from WinEdt directly to R (e.g. from history) - Open (and update) .Rhistory (so you can reuse your last commands). (Only works with rw1010 (R-1.1.0, in development) or later!) - Templates, e.g.: for(_ in _){_} - Faster starting than with standard configuration (of WinEdt). - Features of WinEdt (e.g. Delimiter Check, advanced searching, bookmarks, macros, ...). - Independent of another WinEdt running with "LaTeX-configuration". ================================================================== Regards, Uwe Ligges -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- r-devel mailing list -- Read http://www.ci.tuwien.ac.at/~hornik/R/R-FAQ.html Send "info", "help", or "[un]subscribe" (in the "body", not the subject !)
