Interesting. I never thought of the normal generator compensating for
deficiencies in the uniform. Thanks.

P.S. (Still please add "user-supplied" as an optional normal.kind in
1.1 if
possible. I would like to be able to run my old tests without my library taking
over parts of R base.)

Yes, I have it on the list.  (As you may appreciate, 1.0.0 on 29 Feb is
rather higher up!)  Depending how easy it is, it may make 1.0.x.
