Can we also ask that you fill in the form in the PLATFORMS file and
send it in (to R-core) if you successfully run make check. That file
is getting outdated, and we are proposing to remove all entries for
pre-0.65 versions. We are particularly interested in reports for less
common systems, i.e. not i386-GNU/Linux nor Solaris, and also of
builds of the gnome version.
