Hi, I'm interested in hooking into the garbage collection mechanisms in R to enable R to manage the garbage collection in an imaging package that does its own memory allocation. This would require R to call a destructor when it disposes of objects of a certain class. Is this a practical approach? I've been looking for documentation about the R internals, but haven't found any yet - where should I be looking. Thanks, any advice is welcome. -- Richard Beare Richard.Beare@cmis.csiro.au -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- r-devel mailing list -- Read http://www.ci.tuwien.ac.at/~hornik/R/R-FAQ.html Send "info", "help", or "[un]subscribe" (in the "body", not the subject !)
