Puppet users - Aug 2013 - Unable to find main/binary-armel/Packages

Setup:

   - Puppet master/agent deployment;
   - the Puppet agent causing trouble is a
GuruPlug<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GuruPlug>-type
   server (a snom ONE
SoHo<http://wiki.snomone.com/index.php?title=The_snom_ONE_SoHo>to be
exact);
   - running Debian 6.0 (Squeeze).

I''ve had Puppet running on the agent for several weeks w/no problems. 
 Recently, I noticed this error when I manually executed *apt-get update*.

W: Failed to fetch http://apt.puppetlabs.com/dists/squeeze/Release  Unable
> to find expected entry  main/binary-armel/Packages in Meta-index file 
> (malformed Release file?)
> E: Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old 
> ones used instead.
E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run ''dpkg --configure
-a'' to 
> correct the problem.

Needless to say, manually running *dpkg --configure -a* has not remedied 
the problem.  Anyone have any ideas on what I need to do?
