We''re looking for a systems administrator for a bioinformatics website project in Athens, Georgia, USA. Puppet is a *BIG* part of this job, so I thought I''d advertise it here. You will need 3 years of work experience in Linux system administration. Our systems engineering team provides integrated support for web, database and compute servers - working lockstep with the evolving needs of software developers, database administrators and data analysts. We deploy on CentOS Linux and utilize open source software whenever possible and the software developed by our project is open sourced. We are looking for experience in the following. Red Hat/CentOS Linux Routine operations rpm building: we package our custom software kickstart Puppet NFS Virtualization KVM/libvirt Amazon EC2 System analysis atop, sysstat tcpdump, wireshark System metrics collection Nagios Collectd Hardware EqualLogic iSCSI SAN Dell PowerEdge Servers Brocade Switches Exerience with the following are a plus. Git Jenkins CI Server Web Servers Apache HTTP Server Tomcat Nginx LDAP, preferably 389 Directory Server Sun Grid Engine Relational Databases. Just need basic familiarity to support our database administrators We automate as much as possible so the ability to program in an interpreted language is a must. Perl, Ruby, Groovy and BASH are widely used on our project.
