[Puppet Users] 2.7.2 or higher repository for Ubuntu 10.04
Is there a best practice or repository I can pull from to install>=2.7.2 on ubuntu 10.04?I''m currently using backports and the latest available version is 2.7.1, which is below the requirements for cloud provisioner. Or should I just go ahead and compile from source? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group. I''m compiling from source w/ rvm, and puppet 1.9.2, then installing puppet through gems. I might be able to publish my python script that does this. @Scoot: I''m assuming you mean this: https://github.com/jordansissel/fpm Looks interesting, thanks. @Dan: I have a manifest for puppet client to update itself through apt. I was hoping to keep that configuration as it works very well for me. [Puppet Users] Re: 2.7.2 or higher repository for Ubuntu 10.04
Not sure if it is fully supported yet since there has not been a message in the group however I have been keeping an eye on http://apt.puppetlabs.com since they started doing work in the yum repository. It seems they have support for Puppet with a version of Version: 2.7.3-1puppetlabs1 I am thinking of giving the official apt repository a try. Peter.
