Puppet users - Mar 2011 - Re: Puppet mkusers hangs (was Puppet without FQDN (could not retrieve fact fqdn))

So I bit the bullet and added the system to DNS.
Now I am trying to generate the files automatically, but when I call
"puppet --mkusers" now it doesn''t seem to take any action.
I checked the puppet logs but nothing has been logged or generated yet.

Puppet is probably hanging because it''s waiting for a manifest to be
fed in on standard input.

Do you mean to be executing puppet master --mkusers ?
