So I use puppet at home a lot, but I''m not going to be paying for enterprise support for that cuz $$$ouch :). My company isn''t likely to do that any time soon either. I''d love to support you guys, though; is there a book or t-shirt or something I could buy such that money would get back to you? -Robin -- http://singinst.org/ : Our last, best hope for a fantastic future. Robin, There are great books here that can be purchased: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pro-Puppet-James-Turnbull/dp/1430230576/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1298144204&sr=8-1 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pulling-Strings-Puppet-Configuration-Management/dp/1590599780/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1298144230&sr=1-1-fkmr0 I''m not sure about other monetary contribution methods - but what I would recommend is if you have some Puppet skills, contributing to the forum/list/irc is always welcome. In time helping here and there can build up your own skills and can really help others. Its very rewarding and the participants are a pretty nice bunch of people. Also, helping with bugs and contributing code is great if you are skilled with Ruby. Otherwise just spreading the word about Puppet and Configuration Management is helpful. Most of my network of IT friends know about it ... but you still get those pockets that know nothing so I like to take the time to spread the word a bit. ken. We love people who help with documentation (check the http://projects.puppetlabs.com/projects/puppet-docs for ideas there). Thanks for your support! Lots of people are really interested to see and hear about how to quickly get started with Puppet and "get stuff done." While I wasn''t an organizer, I got my start in the Puppet community on the mailing list, IRC channel, and talking with people face to face at conferences and linux user groups. I''ve been happy with the results. Thanks again for asking, -Jeff -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group.
