[Puppet Users] Access to an AIX box shell to continue developing AIX providers
Hello, I have developed a pair of small providers for AIX: user, group and mount. They should be polished and tested before merge them in main puppet branch. My problem is that I have just changed jobs, and now I do not have access to any AIX box. So I can not continue properly supporting such patches. My old company policies forbids create a test box to access remotely, and my ex-colleagues will not be able to continue the project for a while. So, if somebody is interested in me to finish those features and maybe to implement new ones, and you can create a new restricted AIX box for test proposes which I can access via SSH, I will find some time in my free time to work on it. If not, I will try to help anybody as far as possible. Thank you a lot! -- Atentamente Héctor Rivas -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group. Do you have a preference/recommendation for AIX/pSeries OS versions? Obviously - anyone who can provide said test kit (we''d also be interested in buying 2nd hand kit from someone) or shell accounts on the above would be richly rewarded with beer and Puppet t-shirts. No preference, any AIX 6.1 or AIX 7 box should be ok.> Obviously - anyone who can provide said test kit (we''d also be > interested in buying 2nd hand kit from someone) or shell accounts on the > above would be richly rewarded with beer and Puppet t-shirts.In the case of AIX it is pretty easy create an LPAR or a WPAR with a restricted virtualized network. For an LPAR, 1GB memory would be enough, and 0.5 procs or shared procs with the lowest priority. -- Atentamente Héctor Rivas On Wed, Feb 9, 2011 at 7:24 PM, James Turnbull <james@puppetlabs.com> wrote:> Héctor Rivas Gándara wrote: >> Hello, >> >> I have developed a pair of small providers for AIX: user, group and >> mount.
