[Puppet Users] New Employee Announcement -- Daniel Pittman joins Puppet Labs.
Happy to announce that Daniel Pittman has joined Puppet Labs as a member of the development team. He will be working remotely until he moves to Portland from Australia in early January. Daniel is a long time contributor to the Puppet project and brings over 12 years of experience as both a developer and systems administrator. Daniel had most recently been working as the Infrastructure Manager for Strategic Data where he used Puppet to build a highly scalable and available infrastructure. We are excited to add Daniel''s deep domain knowledge to the Puppet Labs development team. Awesome mix of > dev and ops and a great community participant to boot. Being > Australian is just a bonus on top of those :)I feel very loved with everyone saying such nice things about me. :) Seriously, though, it will be a great pleasure to work with the folks there at Puppet Labs. I have been interested in the systems automation area for more than ten years now, and still remember the thrill of finding the IBM Autonomic Computing manifesto - and thinking "finally, someone who actually gets it!". These days Puppet Labs is the heart of a vibrant community that is working to achieve that dream, especially with the integration of great tools like mcollective. I am very much looking forward to working to drive that forward.
