[Puppet Users] ssh_authorized_key creating multiple entries on repeated runs
Hello, Newbie here. Question regarding the reference type "ssh_authorized_key". Is this part of the designed behaviour? I have: ssh_authorized_key { "someuser": ensure => present, key => "<some id_rsa.pub key>", type => "ssh-rsa", user => "someuser" } It keeps appending to /home/someuser/.ssh/authorized_keys Is this the best way to manage 1 or 2 "admin" type of users in the system? Afaik the described behavior is the one you get if you do that. [Puppet Users] Re: ssh_authorized_key creating multiple entries on repeated runs
Thanks for the reply guys. Really appreciate it! For the key param I am using just the key itself without the "ssh-rsa" prefix part in the key. I am using 0.25.4 (gem version of puppet). -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group. [Puppet Users] Re: ssh_authorized_key creating multiple entries on repeated runs
Try dropping the description as peter mentioned earlier in this thread - just use the key. I mean the ''marley@slsjalab1'' bit at the end. Also make sure the key entry is 1 long line - no carriage returns or spaces. It looks a little like your key is a tad munged but it may just be the cut & paste into this list :-). ken.
