[Puppet Users] A couple of questions about dashboard (r 0.2.1)
Hi all, Groups and classes: Am I missing something or is there no way to associate a class with a group using the dashboard? In the group summary it shows "Params", "Classes", and "Nodes", but when you go to edit it, you only have the option to add nodes or parameters. Groups and precedence: It appears you can save the same parameter in both a node and group definition. It''s not clear which on will take precedence on instantiation. Nodes and groups: Is it possible to associate a group with a node while editing the group, or can that only be done while editing a node? Re: [Puppet Users] A couple of questions about dashboard (r 0.2.1)
Adding classes to groups will (finally) work in the next release and works on the current git master revision. Parameters on nodes override parameters specified on groups. This should be made more clear. It is not currently possible to associate a group with a node from the "group side" but it sounds like a good idea so I''ve added a feature request to the ticketing system: http://projects.reductivelabs.com/issues/3005 On Tue, Dec 29, 2009 at 8:12 AM, Gajillion <gajillion@gmail.com> wrote:> Hi all, > Groups and classes: Am I missing something or is there no way to > associate a class with a group using the dashboard?
