Puppet Users, Puppet Camp is only a few weeks away. This will definitely be the most concentrated block of Puppet expertise the world has seen to date. Puppet has been growing fast in the past few years and there are exciting features coming in the future. This is your chance to learn from some of the best and have a chance to voice opinions about what types of features and tools you would like to see. We are also excited to be putting names with faces and getting to share ideas within the community. Come to learn, come to share, come for answers or come to question. Come to appreciate how we got here, understand the present and shape the future. The sooner you register, the better we can estimate food. We have a small block of rooms for $149 at the Serrano. Call them at 415-351-7660, ask for the Reductive Labs rooms. That''s where the Reductive Labs crew (at least Luke, Teyo, Andrew) and James ''You Call That A Patch'' Turnbull will be staying. (There''s bound to be some late night systems management discussions...) You can learn more and register here: http://reductivelabs.com/home/community/puppetcamp/ Hope to see you soon, Regards, Andrew Shafer Reductive Labs --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group. Thanks for the info, Andrew. I''m waiting for passport reneval procedures and relative timings before confirming my partecipation at the Puppet Camp. I take the occasion for a general broadcast. For the people planning to come to San Francisco some days before the event (to cope with jet-lags or just visit the town) it could be nice to plan some kind of informal meetup, more or less turistical, more or less driven by weird sysadmin jokes ;-) Who is interested for a can reply here or mail me. We''re staying at the Serrano and there is a block of rooms there. You should be able to get them for $149 a night. So, it seems that a bunch of puppetmasters will be roaming around SF waiting for the Camp. I suppose we can arrange a meeting at least the evening of 30 September, but also earlier for somebody. We can define here a meeting place & hour in a sensible, recognizable, place, and then move to a restaurant, pub or whatever. Any suggestion from SF natives? I, um, don''t have much to recommend other than places to drink; you can tell what I do when I visit. :) Also, I expect we''ll set up some code sprints in the day or two before the conference; specifically, on the dev call today Paul recommended that we do a continuous integration code sprint, which I think is a great idea. We specifically need to get the AMIs in better shape so it doesn''t take so long to start each machine for testing. -- The Roman Rule: The one who says it cannot be done should never interrupt the one who is doing it. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Luke Kanies | http://reductivelabs.com | http://madstop.com --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group. Also be good to have a "tests" code sprint - migrating to RSpec and perhaps some test uplift and resilency.
