I have the following ruby scripts I would like to see implemented into puppet, I believe they could compliment puppet and with input from the puppet community would be useful. RCAudit - what services are started on boot up (runlevel 3), what is xinetd starting. CronAudit - what cron jobs are running and as who. RPMAudit - what software packages are installed, what has changed and when. UserAudit - what accounts exist and how are they grouped. The above scripts currently log to a mysql database, but the logic could be taken and rewritten for puppet. Initially they were written for SOX compliance. I have gotten approval from a VP , and two company directors that said I could contribute these. Who can I share these with to see if the puppet developers find any value in them? Put them somewhere that we can download them from. I am already interested in converting some of these to facts..
