There is also a spec file inside the puppet tarball, which should contain the latest spec file. there is also an rpm is epel testing (e.g. ftp://ftp.uni-koeln.de/mirrors/fedora/epel/testing/) If you want, I''ve made an rpm for myself, I can push it around... cheers, Ohad On Tue, Dec 2, 2008 at 8:57 PM, Trevor Vaughan <peiriannydd@gmail.com>wrote:> > Vincent, > > Thanks, I wasn''t sure if there was more that was required with all the > changes from 4 to 6. > > Trevor > > On Tue, Dec 2, 2008 at 07:51, Vincent Louviaux <vincent@louviaux.com> > wrote: > > You can use the spec file from David Lutterkort to create the rpm > > http://people.redhat.com/dlutter/yum/spec/puppet.spec > > > > Change the ligne begins "Version" and rpmbuild -bb > > > > Vincent > > > > > > > > On Tue, Dec 2, 2008 at 1:41 PM, Trevor Vaughan <peiriannydd@gmail.com> > > wrote: > >> > >> Has an RPM for 0.24.6 been published anywhere? > >> > >> I checked the usual locations with little success and wanted to know > >> if I was missing some new location. > >> > >> Thanks, > >> > >> Trevor > >> > >> > > > > > > > > > > > > >--~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group. Ohad, Thanks for the info! I''ll pop the spec out of the tarball and roll! Trevor Vaughan wrote:> Thanks for the info! I''ll pop the spec out of the tarball and roll! The spec in the tarball is the spec file that is used for the Fedora and EPEL packages. If you''re using either Fedora or CentOS/RHEL, I''d use the packages provided there. For Fedora, there''s nothing to add. For CentOS/RHEL, add the EPEL repository and pull puppet-0.24.6 from updates-testing. http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL -- Todd OpenPGP -> KeyID: 0xBEAF0CE3 | URL: www.pobox.com/~tmz/pgp ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The world is so dreadfully managed, one hardly knows to whom to complain. -- Ronald Firbank
