[Puppet Users] ruby / factor issue - no help on google. Stack too deep?
Anyone seen this before? I have 10 RH El4 systems and this occurs on 2 of them when installing a new version of puppet and ruby/ruby-libs. Most of them are X86_64 and I am using the 32 bit ruby/libs/factor/ puppet install on all with rpms and yet on two systems I get this.. confused ???? puppetd --server xyzzy--test --waitforcert 30 Could not load /usr/lib/site_ruby/1.8/facter/memory.rb: stack level too deep /usr/lib/site_ruby/1.8/facter.rb:541:in `initialize'': stack level too deep (SystemStackError) from /usr/lib/site_ruby/1.8/facter.rb:440:in `new'' from /usr/lib/site_ruby/1.8/facter.rb:440:in `confine'' from /usr/lib/site_ruby/1.8/facter.rb:439:in `each'' from /usr/lib/site_ruby/1.8/facter.rb:439:in `confine'' from /usr/lib/site_ruby/1.8/facter/memory.rb:63 from /usr/lib/site_ruby/1.8/facter.rb:246:in `instance_eval'' from /usr/lib/site_ruby/1.8/facter.rb:246:in `add'' from /usr/lib/site_ruby/1.8/facter.rb:89:in `add'' ... 10 levels... from /usr/lib/site_ruby/1.8/puppet.rb:9:in `require'' from /usr/lib/site_ruby/1.8/puppet.rb:9 from /usr/sbin/puppetd:164:in `require'' from /usr/sbin/puppetd:164 and rpm''s are: ruby-libs-1.8.6-1.el4 ruby-1.8.6-1.el4 facter-1.3.8-1.el4 puppet-0.24.5-1.el4 I guess I could try building from source, but it is strange that 8 of 10 work... thanks Jewels --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group.
