[Puppet Users] Getting another MySQL error, this time with puppetshow...
Not sure if this is the right place for puppetshow questions, but here goes... It''s time for me to move away from my home grown ruby on rails puppet front and start using puppetshow so I can focus my development work on the data instead of the view. Unfortunately, I am getting the following error when running a rake db:migrate in the puppet show directory: rake db:migrate (in /var/www/rails/puppetshow) rake aborted! Mysql::Error: No database selected: SHOW FIELDS FROM `resource_tags` I followed the instructions at http://reductivelabs.com/trac/puppet/wiki/PuppetShow and used git clone to pull down the latest. There has been a little bit of discussion on the web about this issue, but most of it seems pretty dated and none of the solution seem to work or didn''t apply: commenting things out in the mysql_adapter, gem install mysql, etc. Has anybody else run into this issue and if so, how were you able to work around it? I also read that there were some issues with the 0.23.x releases on debian and I was using that version on ubuntu. I have long since upgraded but perhaps this could be a lingering issue? (grasping at straws :) - Thanks again btw, here''s some version info: $ puppetmasterd --version 0.24.4 $ puppetd --version 0.24.4 $ mysqld --version mysqld Ver 5.0.45-Debian_1ubuntu3.1-log for pc-linux-gnu on i486 (Debian etch distribution) $ rails --version Rails 2.0.2 --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group. Yes, I do have storeconfigs defined in my puppetmasterd section, and they are working well. My existing home grown site uses this data just fine, and it is running on the same server. Migrations worked fine on my other site, just not on puppetshow. I did populate the config/database.yml file just in case, but to no avail. Thanks, though!
