[Puppet Users] WEBrick Binding Error && HTTP-Error: 500 Internal Server Error
Here''s little bit frustating error, ya discussed mostly, but not I really stuck...!, (1)=> Is there any permant, solid solution to get rid of WEBrick "WARN TCPServer Error: Address already in use - bind(2)"...??? despite killing, restarting, stoping, It''s happen again & again...!!! How to fix it, to use other port i.e 3100 etc, so atleast WEBrick started, becuase I''m constantly getting "Address already bind".........!!! (2) After restarting/puppetd also getting these errors: "err: Could not call puppetmaster.getconfig: #<RuntimeError: HTTP-Error: 500 Internal Server Error > err: Could not retrieve catalog: HTTP-Error: 500 Internal Server Error" I have also make sure that there''s no Syntaxt error in my configuration, it''s just test configuration with all defaults. Is it due to WEBrick address binding error or anything else.? Thank you for your time. I assume that''s a platform problem, such as your startup scrpt using the wrong pid.> > (2) > After restarting/puppetd also getting these errors: > "err: Could not call puppetmaster.getconfig: #<RuntimeError: HTTP- > Error: 500 Internal Server Error > > err: Could not retrieve catalog: HTTP-Error: 500 Internal Server > Error" > I have also make sure that there''s no Syntaxt error in my > configuration, it''s just test configuration with all defaults. This is a bug, but I don''t know where the bug really is. If you can track down who''s the cause of it, that''d be great. -- To define recursion, we must first define recursion. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Luke Kanies | http://reductivelabs.com | http://madstop.com --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group. "The problem is that your server isn''t actually stopping when you tell it to stop. I assume that''s a platform problem, such as your startup scrpt using the wrong pid." well, I''m using it on Debian Etch 4.0, I''ll test it on CentOS 5 to confirm the platform errors...!!! It''s really Interesting "To define recursion, we must first define recursion." Recursive-Cycle started since I started to Test the Puppet, Hope soon puppet will be on the stage & ya also HiTiNing HEAD with PuppetShow, still unable to get the CODE, Since now GIT is installed on my server :(...!!!! Anyway " All is well tht End is Well" Thanx for "Keep-Alive" :) On 4/3/08, Luke Kanies <luke@madstop.com> wrote:> > > On Apr 3, 2008, at 8:47 AM, soft developer wrote: > > > Here''s little bit frustating error, ya discussed mostly, but not I > > really stuck...!, > > (1)=> > > Is there any permant, solid solution to get rid of WEBrick "WARN > > TCPServer Error: Address already in use - bind(2)"...??? > > despite killing, restarting, stoping, It''s happen again & again...!!! > > How to fix it, to use other port i.e 3100 etc, so atleast WEBrick > > started, becuase I''m constantly getting "Address already > > bind".........!!! > > > The problem is that your server isn''t actually stopping when you tell > it to stop.
