[Puppet Users] does anybody use the cft in the debian .
hi,all does some one had use the cft tool to build manifest for puppet on the debian os ? when start deamon,time out. debian version is etch. the ruby-fam is use debian''s libfam-ruby, the ruby-rpm is build from source code. I had read the FAQ,can''t find useful infermation. It doesn''t use the puppet package provider, since it needs a good deal more information about packages, most notably which files belong to a package. Having said all that, I''d love to see patches to make cft work on Debian, even if it''s changed so that it ignores any package information. You can find more info on what''s going wrong during daemon start in SESSION_DIR/SESSION (SESSION_DIR defaults to /tmp/cft) The stdout and stderr files capture the output of the daemon.
