Puppet users - Dec 2007 - err: Could not retrieve configuration:

Hi all,

I''m using the version 0.24.1 with strange problem: When I enable
storeconfigs in puppetmaster (puppet.conf)  I have  the following error on
clients

debug: Finishing transaction -604715208 with 0 changes
info: Loading fact hardware_platform
info: Loading fact dmi
debug: Retrieved facts in 2.12 seconds
debug: Calling puppetmaster.freshness
*err: Could not retrieve configuration: File[/var/lib/puppet/facts] is
already being managed*
debug: Creating default schedules

and sometimes the following error

info: Loading fact hardware_platform
info: Loading fact dmi
debug: Retrieved facts in 1.86 seconds
debug: Calling puppetmaster.freshness
*err: Could not retrieve configuration: Settings[/etc/puppet/puppet.conf] is
already being managed*
debug: Creating default schedules

If I disable storeconfigs then everything is ok .

Any Ideas ?

i have exactly the same issues on freebsd 6 for my test account :)

Hrm, I think storeconfigs is a red herring in this case.  My guess is  
that it changes things up enough that the problem doesn''t surface but  
doesn''t actually cause it.

I don''t get the same problem, but at least one other person does, I  
guess.  How many others are having this problem?

Also, can you open a ticket with a stack trace attached?  (Use -- 
trace to get it, and please don''t forget to wrap the trace in {{{}}}  
so the markup is right.)
