[Pkg-xen-devel] Bug#910948: xen-hypervisor-4.11-amd64: HVM DomU: Emulated PS/2 keyboard does not work (through VNC)
Package: xen-hypervisor-4.11-amd64 Version: 4.11.1~pre.20180911.5acdd26fdc+dfsg-3 Severity: important Dear Maintainer, With Xen 4.11, I cannot use the standard emulated PS/2 keyboard when booting HVM domUs (through VNC.) I did not have this problem with Xen 4.8 (4.8.3+xsa267+shim4.10.1+xsa267-1+deb9u9). In SeaBIOS, pressing ESC does not interrupt the boot. In OVMF, pressing ESC does not interrupt the boot; typing does not work at the UEFI shell, either. I cannot type at Syslinux prompts. When a kernel boots, I cannot type at the console. If I use '-device usb-kbd' to add a USB keyboard, I can usually type at the Syslinux prompt and at shells, but I still can't affect the BIOS. -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (400, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.18.6 (SMP w/12 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled xen-hypervisor-4.11-amd64 depends on no packages.
