[Pkg-xen-devel] Problems w/ xen-utils-3.0-unstable-1 + linux-image-2.6.18-4-xen-686?
Anyone else seeing problems with this combo? I'm running: linux-image-2.6.18-4-xen-686 2.6.18.dfsg.1-9 linux-modules-2.6.18-4-xen-686 2.6.18.dfsg.1-9 xen-hypervisor-3.0-unstable-1-i386-pae 3.0-unstable+hg11561-1 xen-utils-3.0-unstable-1 3.0-unstable+hg11561-1 xen-utils-common 3.0.3-0-2 When I try to fire up xend, it bombs.. doing some debugging, it looks like it's a problem with xenstored. When I fire that up by hand, I get: dev-xen201:~# /usr/lib/xen-3.0-unstable-1/bin/xenstored ERROR: Could not open event channel interface (19 = No such device) FATAL: Failed to open evtchn device: No such device It looks like /dev/xen/evtchn is being created with the wrong major/minor, ie (where I created evtchn2 by hand): dev-xen201:~# ls -alh /dev/xen/evtchn* crw------- 1 root root 10, 201 2007-02-02 11:10 /dev/xen/evtchn crw-r--r-- 1 root root 10, 63 2007-02-02 11:18 /dev/xen/evtchn2 dev-xen201:~# cat /dev/xen/evtchn cat: /dev/xen/evtchn: No such device dev-xen201:~# cat /dev/xen/evtchn2 dev-xen201:~# However, if I create evtchn by hand, it gets overwritten when starting xenstored again (sigh). I just reported a bug for this also, but haven't received a conf# yet.. I'd appreciate any advice! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ | nate carlson | natecars@natecarlson.com | http://www.natecarlson.com | | depriving some poor village of its idiot since 1981 | ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Should they be removed or updated? Regards, Thomas -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
