I''ve been busy preparing to start a postdoc in Italy in mid-September. I barely had enough time to dash off the kdegames and kdeedu uploads, while the kdepim upload needs more work: . I was hoping to hear some news on the serious DIMAP data loss bug, which as far as I know hasn''t come yet. . There''s a violation of current policy in having *.sh scripts in /usr/bin in the kmail package. In my opinion, those scripts probably belong under /usr/share/apps/kmail anyway, but I don''t know the kmail code well enough to know what I''d need to do to get the scripts found there. This one is certainly not as important as the other, though. If somebody else has packages ready, feel free to upload -- especially if the upload does something regarding the DIMAP bug! -- Daniel Schepler

Also KMail has increased debugging which could give valueable feedback if the problem is not solved. Maybe it is a good idea to upload a version with debug enabled, let everyone try and upload a non-debug build after a month or so. Tom Albers

I don''t know if christopher already mailed you about how do you check for new files to add to the install lists ? dh_install --no-act --list-missing fails on the packages because the install lists don''t have the debian/tmp/ prefix, which is added instead in debian/rules. To reply also to tom, we have added the kdepim debug patch. Christopher has done some updates to kdegames and kdeedu too. I''ve doen also some changes on kdegames, not commited yet (fix /usr/games path in *.menu and *.install since christopher''s changes) cheers, Fathi

Actually, never mind on the question about what changes you made, I figured out how to browse the svn logs on websvn. One possible change to kdepim I''ve been thinking of is to replace kmail_nofinal.diff with the hack you''ve been using for the other packages to disable final mode entirely on architectures which have trouble with it. That might also be useful in kdeedu with kstars. -- Daniel Schepler

That might also be useful in kdeedu with kstars.Done. By re-syncing with the team SVN stuff, your packages will use the latest debian-qt-kde.mk, which contains this hack. I''ve also dropped the kmail_nofinal.diff from kdepim. So if you''re OK with what we''ve done to the package, we''d like to upload kdepim 3.5.4 ASAP. That will clear the way for kdewebdev/sdk/addons 3.5.4. As you may have noticed, I''ve also checked in changes to kdegames and kdeedu. I put the changes on-line so that you could see what I had in mind. With your permission, I''d like to upload those packages as well. kdegames suffers from an unnecessarily strict build-dep on the latest arts, which is FTBFSing on arm, preventing kdegames from building on arm and therefore from moving into Etch. As for kdeedu, it''s just a packaging sync, plus the split our of the ''indi'' package as some reports request, and other minor stuff. But you can check the details as you please. Let us know what you think. Thanks, Christopher Martin -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
