though one calls diff with -a to make the 01_<package>_branch.diff
  file, dpkg-source still won''t call diff with -a, so there may be
  issues.

  perhaps we''re better off preventively uu-encoding them all, just in

Probably a good habit to get into. Done for most packages now; I''ll
look=20
at the rest soon.
