Pkg exim4 users - Jul 2008 - Bugzilla bug_email.pl (for Etch)

Hi

Have anyone coupled Exim with the Bugzilla bug_email.pl script ?
(under Etch, newer bugzilla in Lenny has some kind of mail API)

Instead of going via procmail, is it possible to use the pipe_transport
directly ?


Procmail recomendation is from the script:

# The email needs to be feeded to this program on STDIN.
# This is usually done by having an entry like this in your
# .procmailrc:
#
#     BUGZILLA_HOME=/usr/local/httpd/htdocs/bugzilla
#     :0 c
#     |(cd $BUGZILLA_HOME/contrib; ./bug_email.pl)

I am using the debian X_BUGZILLA_SITE as well, so the script might
have to be adopted. I am looking into that.

Would this work ?

bugzilla_pipe:
  debug_print = "T: bugzilla_pipe for $local_part@$domain"
  driver = pipe
  path = "/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/local/bin"
  command = "/usr/share/bugzilla/contrib/bug_email.pl"

Or have anyone else already set this up ?

This should of course be possible. There is a number of examples
around for Mailman and the Debian BTS, so you should have plenty of
input.

You would probably want to change to a different user during the
delivery, and maybe you need to take care of changing to the right
directory before invoking bug_email.pl
