Someone on the exim users lists just asked about this sort of thing and I am wondering if it is ok to just copy /var/spool/exim4. This is not an upgrade of exim4, both servers are running exim4 4.67-5build1, aka standard ubuntu gutsy 7.10 release. I''m sure there are other things too. Thanks, Chuck

I believe that exim-users has also given alternatives. Greetings Marc -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Marc Haber | "I don''t trust Computers. I thought that since the OS. exim versions and configurations would be the same, the db format would also be the same and thusly perhaps just copying the spool would work fine and that would be easier than figuring out how to configure exim for this transition. As an FYI for others who might read this - the original poster on exim-users said he setup a smarthost to the new server. That certainly sounds a lot easier than what I thought others were suggesting. Chuck

Who touches it is asking for trouble. Keep out unless you know exactly what you''re doing.> As an FYI for others who might read this - the original poster on > exim-users said he setup a smarthost to the new server.
