[Pkg-exim4-users] How to do a basic EXIM4 set-up just to send system alerts ?
Many thanks for you reply, I''ve got debian set-up as a file server using quotas, a mdadm raid5 and apcupsd monitoring my ups. I know these applications can send e-mails when faults or quotas are exceeded. All i want is the machine to send those e-mails to my standard works e-mail account. That''s all, nothing complicated or dedicated. But it all seems to complicated for such a simple request. The easiest way to accomplish something like that is to have exim listen on 127.0.0.1 only as mentioned in the documentation. Some process on your system might want to send out notifications via SMTP to localhost.
