[opus] Opus Stereo for Speech
Hi, I have a question regarding the stereo capabilities of Opus. I would like to establish a connection between two ends via Wi-Fi and the signals that are to be transmitted are of speech kind. It mean on both ends speech is both recorded and played back as stereo. Now would the delay and loss characteristics of the speech transmission at a certain bitrate be the same as Mono voice transmission? Is it at all possible to use Opus for stereo Speech( considering acceptable latency and package loss thresholds) ? > Now would the delay and loss > characteristics of the speech transmission at a certain bitrate be the same > as Mono voice transmission? If the speech really is stereo (L and R differ), it will require a higher rate for the same quality. Otherwise, the usage characteristics of mono, dual-mono, and true stereo speech will be the same.> Is it at all possible to use Opus for stereo > Speech( considering acceptable latency and package loss thresholds) ?Yes, certainly.
