Sounds like you're in need of some beginners help in general.
A great resource would be any of the many Raspberry Pi forums, including Reddit
https://www.reddit.com/r/raspberry_pi
I'd suggest posting there and seeing if they can assist you.

Subject: user guide for openssh?
Hello,
I have never used ssh, of any sort, before.
Is there a manual or a web site that can help me accomplish the following?
1. Set up ssh on a laptop.
2. Set up ssh on an RPi.
3. Connect the laptop and RPi with an Ethernet cable.
4. Run the RPI using the laptop's keyboard and video.
5. How to troubleshoot when things go South.
After reading many articles on the Internet, I am confused and have more
questions than answers.
Can you help me? Thanks.
