Most likely some commercial-ssh-version-1's keygen has not been removed from
your system. openssh3.4p1's keygen supports the -t version:
emil:chris$ ssh-keygen -t rsa
Generating public/private rsa key pair.
Enter file in which to save the key (/home/chris/.ssh/id_rsa):
DEVELOPERS: There should be a -V (Version) option for all ssh-commands.
