It doesn't work for a non-root user. Environment: AIX 4.3.3 maintenance level 0, gcc-3.1. Does the same thing on ML9. Not sure about 4.2.1 yet. $ ./sshd -d -d -d -o 'UsePrivilegeSeparation yes' -o 'Port 3022' [snip] debug1: session_input_channel_req: session 0 req shell setsid: Not owner debug1: Received SIGCHLD. [goes pear-shaped from here] Full log in following attachment.
