openssh unix dev - Nov 2001 - askpass for passwords?

Is there a particular reason the client can't use SSH_ASKPASS for
passwords when using password authentication?  This would seem to
be useful when using ssh in scripted commands against servers that
only allow password authentication.

does anyone know if openssh 2.9.9p2 works
with kerberos 5?  Pls let me know.

i assume you are using 2.9.9.  it does use SSH_ASKPASS.
