openssh unix dev - Sep 2001 - fix for hang on exit

Apologies if this is documented somewhere, but I could not find it.  I'm
wondering if there will be a fix for the hang on exit problem in the
next release.  We are currently using 2.9p1 and this issue is creating a
lot of problems.   Currently using the workaround that is described in
the FAQ, but this is not ideal for many reasons.  We see this problem on
both Solaris and HP-UX.
