[Bug 1059] scp should have an option to ignore symlinks
http://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1059 Summary: scp should have an option to ignore symlinks Product: Portable OpenSSH Version: -current Platform: All URL: http://krunch.servebeer.com/~krunch/vrac/sw/scp-s.diff OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P5 Component: scp AssignedTo: bitbucket at mindrot.org ReportedBy: A.Kunysz at student.ulg.ac.be I think scp should have an option to ignore symlinks so it won't go into an endless loop when copying circular links. I wrote a patch and I'll attach it once the bug is created. This issue has already been discussed before and it was made clear no modification should be done on the protocol but this option only check if a file is a link and doesn't send it if it is one. Which means the protocol remains unchanged. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee.
