Install SNV87 on the box with several NICs (all GLDv3)
Through my experience after install all three NICs have been detected and "dladm show-link" reported which interface was up ( obviously with cable plugged in). However, "ifconfig -a" showed IP-address 0.0.0.0 for each one of Ethernet interfaces . Manual intervention was required to obtain IP via dhcp on given interface. When there is only one NIC it doesn''t happen. Old installer (SNV89,90) does detect all three interfaces and prompts to choose interface to configure at the beginning of installation procedure. You could try opensolaris-discuss, install-discuss or networking-discuss.
