Hi! Both my coworker and I have identical Tecra M5''s When I use virt-install (for any OS), it takes 4+ hours. When he uses virt-install it takes 45 minutes. I now have a customer experiencing the same problem. Does anyone know what the problem is? Last time I tried, I was using build 87. emike

PV or HVM ? Since the installation process is dominated by I/O, what do the disk I/O stats in dom0 say ? Are the backend disks in the same type of filesystem (UFS, ZFS) ? Anything on a USB, like ISO images ? I too have an M5 and will try to duplicate your setup to see what I can figure out. So whatcha installin'' ? Bob
