Not sure if that''s what the "Known Issues" is referring to. Are you looking for a fix for a specific problem? MRJ

Actually, i am concerned about PV drivers for Solaris 10 U4 HVM DomU. I don''t see any /platform/i86hvm directory. Reading CR 6651488 ******************************************************* Bug ID 6651488 Synopsis PV NIC doesn''t work on 3.1 dom0 State 10-Fix Delivered (Fix available in build) ******************************************************* Work Around ******************************************************* edit /etc/driver_aliases and change the line: xpv "pci5853,1" to xpv "pci5853,1.1" and reboot This doesn''t quite work; the xpv driver has an explicit check for 3.0.4, so even with this workaround, the driver doesn''t load. In addition to updating /etc/driver_aliases, the xpv driver binary in /platform/i86hvm/kernel/drv{/amd64} must be updated to bits that include the fix for this bug. ******************************************************* i cannot understand :- How this CR works on SNV84 ?> > > > MRJ > > _______________________________________________ > xen-discuss mailing list > xen-discuss@opensolaris.orgThis message posted from opensolaris.org

The fix you are referencing fixed one of the problems with HVM PV drivers running on 3.1, but did not remove the check etc. That was done in b85. BTW, there are some more fixes around the PV driver package which should be going back to b86.. 6663334 pkgadd of SUNWxvmpv fails when live upgrading from snv_82 to snv_83 6666738 xnf and xpvd entries erroneously present in usr/src/uts/intel/os/name_to_major MRJ

Hi, sorry for being slightly offtopic! I''d like to ask, where the list of those changes (for example the aforementioned ones) are available? I mean something similar like what Derek puts in lately into his announcement mails (see for example the last one about, b84; its Xorg, and the ON bits: http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=54147&tstart=0) I mean I regularly check the flag-days (http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/on/flag-days/), but I think it would be good to have at least a simplified list (sort of a "quick-list") of the changes/bug fixes that go into a build. I know, I can find a few bits from the "xVM world" in the Nevada changelog, but somehow I feel there''s a lot more stuff is being added/corrected from build-by-build by the xVM team. Even if only the bug ID''s were mentioned that would be nice :) - we would know what to count on. (And remember, you ("internals" :)) are at least two builds ahead of us, so the changelist would be "stabile") Thanks for your great work, and support! Attila This message posted from opensolaris.org
