Hi there, I''ve installed B77 on a box and it panics after I chose the xVM grub menu. The panic strings are: # strings vmcore.1 |head SunOS cb150ykdt2d 5.11 snv_77 i86pc i86xpv BAD TRAP: type=e (#pf Page fault) rp=d44ddb64 addr=14 occurred in module "genunix" due to a NULL pointer dereference>KXG.symtab .strtab other info: # psrinfo -vp The physical processor has 2 virtual processors (0 1) x86 (GenuineIntel F41 family 15 model 4 step 1 clock 2800 MHz) Intel(r) Pentium(r) 4 CPU 2.80GHz # prtdiag -v System Configuration: Hewlett-Packard HP Compaq dc7100 CMT(PP322US) BIOS Configuration: Hewlett-Packard 786C1 v01.05 06/16/2004 ==== Processor Sockets =================================== Version Location Tag -------------------------------- -------------------------- Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz XU1 PROCESSOR ==== Memory Device Sockets =============================== Type Status Set Device Locator Bank Locator ------- ------ --- ------------------- -------------------- DDR in use 0 XMM1 DDR in use 0 XMM2 DDR in use 0 XMM3 DDR in use 0 XMM4 FLASH in use 0 SYSTEM ROM ==== On-Board Devices ==================================== ==== Upgradeable Slots =================================== ID Status Type Description --- --------- ---------------- ---------------------------- 1 available PCI PCI1 2 available PCI PCI2 1 available other PCI EXPRESS x1 SLOT/PCIEx1 1 available other PCI EXPRESS x16 SLOT/PCIEx16 # uname -a SunOS cb150ykdt2d 5.11 snv_77 i86pc i386 i86pc Any idea why? Unless you have a debug kernel stack trace, it''s near impossible to say. Install a debug ON bfu of B77 to get a full core dump with symbols.
