xen discuss - Nov 2007 - xVM IO Issues

Hi Folks,

Im using xVM (nv_b77) and experienceing poor IO performance when 
starting VM''s.  Currently im using a ZFS filesystem, do you think this 
might be a factor?  If so what would the best storage solution be?

What kind of disk hba does your dom0 have?

What does df -lk return?

Are you using disk files or zvols for the domU?

If disk files, are you using sparse files?

A few more questions...

Are you using PV or HVM domains?  What does "poor performance" mean? 
How
poor, and using what as a baseline?  You say it''s poor "when
starting VMs".
Does that mean performance improves after the VM is booted?
