Hi John, Thanks for the update (have been waiting for this). However, seems that I can''t open the documentation at http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/xen/docs/specs.html It''s a blank page, could you recheck ? Thanks, Andre W. Try again regards john

I have downloaded all the parts. If some parts fail, try to download from beginning by select the parts from the download website. SDM is recommended. SDM is what I was having the problem with. I followed Bernd's advice, and was able to get the other parts just downloading from the browser. Odd problem. What's the OS type you used to download? I use the SXDE b66. And what's the error message? You can check it from File -> log. I was downloading from a Mac OS X system. I had an entry similar to this for every failed down load. I retried many times. See bottom for log entries. But the ones that wouldn''t download from SDM worked fine through the browser. I typically never use the browser download. Jerry K Lu, Baolu wrote:> What''s the OS type you used to download? Hi John, Congratulations to the team! Again a very good work! I now have a running Solaris DomU in a Linux Dom0 (Ubuntu Feisty 7.04 with Xen 3.0.4)! I created the image file for the DomU on my Solaris Box and copied it to the Linux box and after fiddling a little with the DomU configuration file it works now. At this time I''m just installing a new Solaris DomU on my Linux Box using the DVD image ...>> After an undesirably long time, I''m happy to say that another drop of Solaris >> on Xen is available here.Yeah, but the result is again amazing cool! Keep on the good work Bernd PS: I really would like to have it the other way round: Running a Solaris Dom0 and a Linux DomU. But that''s not an option until suspend/resume is working in Solaris. Until that I keep Ubuntu as Dom0 on my main machine and play with a Solaris Dom0 on my test machine. This message posted from opensolaris.org

Linux dom0 under Xen does not support ACPI etc. suspend/resume either as far as I know... regards john

I think I can remove the -B parameter if I update the bootpath entry in the archive but I did not test it.>> PS: I really would like to have it the other way round: Running a Solaris >> Dom0 and a Linux DomU. Some guy has the same issue as you. Refer to http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5112510, if you'd like to know more.
