Based on the 3/31/2007 announcement, would it be possible to update the ready-to-use image offered up at the top of the following page with a PAE-enabled kernel? http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/xen/How-To-8-15-06/install/AugDomUs/ We are using recent PAE versions of Xen as a Linux dom0 and would love to run solaris domU''s. Re: Update Solaris domU image? - will work with pae turned off in xen/dom0
hi, Turns out I got the Solaris b44 domU working under a Fedora 7 dom0. There''s a posting on the fedora-xen "a t" redhat.com mail list entitled "FWIW: Howto for building F7 and FC6 xen kernels + xen w/o PAE". By following those instructions, I produced a non-PAE F7 + xen 3.1 setup that boots Solaris b44 just fine: Sun Microsystems Inc.
