[Ocfs2-users] Reg: Server getting kernal panic due to OCFS.
Hi All, I have two Linux nodes with RHEL 4.5 32 bit OS and i'm using OCFS2 1.2.9 in it. Out of two nodes one node got kernel panic. Post rebooting the node its up and running. As per log analysis i found the following error in /var/log/messages. Pls let me know what is the cause of this error and what can be done in order to fix it. kernel: (23725,7):dlm_drop_lockres_ref:2298 ERROR: while dropping ref on CC1E8AF9297E4FE09285D6D1E322E0BA:M00000000000000003449679448aa6e (master=1) got -22. kernel: (23725,7):dlm_print_one_lock_resource:461 lockres: M00000000000000003449679448aa6e, owner=1, state=64 kernel: (23725,7):__dlm_print_one_lock_resource:476 lockres: M00000000000000003449679448aa6e, owner=1, state=64 kernel: (23725,7):__dlm_print_one_lock_resource:478 last used: 1374576451, on purge list: yes kernel: (23725,7):dlm_print_lockres_refmap:444 refmap nodes: [ ], inflight=0 kernel: (23725,7):__dlm_print_one_lock_resource:480 granted queue: kernel: (23725,7):__dlm_print_one_lock_resource:495 converting queue: kernel: (23725,7):__dlm_print_one_lock_resource:510 blocked queue: kernel: ------------[ cut here ]------------ kernel: kernel BUG at /rpmbuild/smushran/BUILD/ocfs2-1.2.9/fs/ocfs2/dlm/dlmmaster.c:2300! kernel: invalid operand: 0000 [#1] kernel: SMP kernel: Modules linked in: sg mptctl mptbase ipmi_devintf ipmi_si ipmi_msghandler iptable_nat ip_conntrack iptable_mangle iptable_filter ip_tables boston(U) parport_pc lp parport edp10(U) nfs lockd nfs_acl md5 ipv6 autofs4 i2c_dev i2c_core ocfs2(U) debugfs(U) ocfs2_dlmfs(U) ocfs2_dlm(U) ocfs2_nodemanager(U) configfs(U) sunrpc dm_mirror dm_multipath dm_mod emcphr(U) emcpmpap(U) emcpmpaa(U) emcpmpc(U) emcpmp(U) emcp(U) emcplib(U) button battery ac hw_random bnx2(U) ext3 jbd ata_piix libata megaraid_sas usb_storage uhci_hcd ohci_hcd ehci_hcd sd_mod qla2xxx(U) scsi_mod qla2xxx_conf(U) kernel: CPU: 7 kernel: EIP: 0060:[<f97c46a0>] Tainted: P VLI kernel: EFLAGS: 00010246 (2.6.9-55.ELsmp) kernel: EIP is at dlm_drop_lockres_ref+0x24f/0x261 [ocfs2_dlm] kernel: eax: 00000000 ebx: e3b09bc0 ecx: f06f0e00 edx: e3b09c08 kernel: esi: 00000000 edi: f06f0f03 ebp: 0000001f esp: f06f0ecc kernel: ds: 007b es: 007b ss: 0068 kernel: Process dlm_thread (pid: 23725, threadinfo=f06f0000 task=eb8e5870) kernel: Stack: f76844c0 e3b09bc0 e73efc00 ffffffea 00000000 1f000000 3030304d 30303030 kernel: 30303030 30303030 34343330 39373639 61383434 00653661 00000000 00000000 kernel: 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 e3b09bc0 e3b09bc0 kernel: Call Trace: kernel: [<f97d694d>] dlm_purge_lockres+0x121/0x2c9 [ocfs2_dlm] kernel: [<f97d6b72>] dlm_run_purge_list+0x7d/0xc6 [ocfs2_dlm] kernel: [<f97d78ff>] dlm_thread+0x72/0x46b [ocfs2_dlm] kernel: [<c012052d>] autoremove_wake_function+0x0/0x2d kernel: [<c012052d>] autoremove_wake_function+0x0/0x2d kernel: [<f97d788d>] dlm_thread+0x0/0x46b [ocfs2_dlm] kernel: [<c01342ed>] kthread+0x73/0x9b kernel: [<c013427a>] kthread+0x0/0x9b kernel: [<c01041f5>] kernel_thread_helper+0x5/0xb kernel: Code: 72 40 68 fa 08 00 00 68 f2 84 7d f9 ff 70 10 ff b1 94 00 00 00 68 81 cb 7d f9 e8 5e e2 95 c6 83 c4 28 8b 44 24 04 e8 f6 64 ff ff <0f> 0b fc 08 8b ad 7d f9 83 c4 60 89 f0 5b 5e 5f 5d c3 55 57 56 kernel: <0>Fatal exception: panic in 5 seconds filename: /lib/modules/2.6.9-55.ELsmp/kernel/fs/ocfs2/ocfs2.ko author: Oracle license: GPL description: OCFS2 1.2.9 Mon May 19 12:55:09 PDT 2008 (build a693806cb619dd7f225004092b675ede) version: 1.2.9 1B43458FD47258934A48F1C vermagic: 2.6.9-55.ELsmp SMP 686 REGPARM 4KSTACKS gcc-3.4 depends: ocfs2_nodemanager,ocfs2_dlm,jbd,debugfs Regards V.Vasanth -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
