[Ocfs2-users] [IMPORTANT] OCFS for maildir with 7000 users.
Hello Anyone can give me right option to create filesystem i need use for ocfs2 for maildir storage? MAILDIR1 ~ # mkfs.ocfs2 --label=MAILDIR --block-size=4KB --cluster-size=4KB --node-slots=4 -J size=256MB -T mail --fs-feature-level=max-features /dev/dm-0 mkfs.ocfs2 1.6.4 Cluster stack: classic o2cb Overwriting existing ocfs2 partition. Hi, I recommend you to disable usrquota, grpquota and xattr features if you don't need them and use noatime and localflocks mount options, as Maildir was designed to be a locking free directory structure. Also avoid using LVM (or CLVM) as it is not officially supported/tested. Use your storage backend volume management instead. Our largest mail cluster is currently storing 50k+ mailboxes in Maildir+ (courier-mta extensions) format.
