Hi, I have 5 nodes RHEL (Red Hat) 5.2 - 32 bit, I have repository build by 32 bit OCFS2 1.4.x. I have to move this repository to 64 bit Red Hat 5.2 nodes with OCFS2. My question it is possible that I can present 32 bit OCFS2 repository to 64 bit OCFS2 ? Quick reply will appreciated. Explain "repository built by OCFS2 1.4.x"? What is this repository? OCFS2, the file system, is architecture neutral. Meaning, it works across 32-bit, 64-bit, little endian and big endian boxes. One can mount an ocfs2 volume concurrently on x86, x86_64, ia64 and ppc64 nodes. They all have to be Linux, though. ;) Raheel Akhtar wrote:> > Hi, > > > > I have 5 nodes RHEL (Red Hat) 5.2 - 32 bit, I have repository build by > 32 bit OCFS2 1.4.x. They all have to be Linux, though. ;)By reading this, I rememberd a question of old: will OCFS2 be ported to Solaris/Opensolaris? Are there any plans? If yes, will this be done in the next 5 years? My boss loves Solaris, and I use Linux for my SAP boxes... ;-) Regards, Werner

See http://oss.oracle.com/projects/ocfs2/dist/documentation/v1.2/ocfs2_faq.html qs 85. The same goes for 1.4 of course. I second this question. 2009/7/2 Werner Flamme <werner.flamme at ufz.de>> Sunil Mushran [02.07.2009 16:23]: > > > > OCFS2, the file system, is architecture neutral.
