[Ocfs2-users] OCFS2 from 1.2.4 -> 1.2.7 - Failed dependencies
OK, I guess I'm still missing something. I changed the config on all nodes using service o2cb configure. I then stopped the cluster (crsctl stop crs), offlined and unloaded o2cb, updated the packages, loaded o2cb, onlined o2cb, tried to start ocfs2 and I get the same errors as below. oracle0 ~]$ /etc/init.d/o2cb status Module "configfs": Loaded Filesystem "configfs": Mounted Module "ocfs2_nodemanager": Loaded Module "ocfs2_dlm": Loaded Module "ocfs2_dlmfs": Loaded Filesystem "ocfs2_dlmfs": Mounted Checking O2CB cluster ocfs2: Online Heartbeat dead threshold: 46 Network idle timeout: 10000 Network keepalive delay: 5000 Network reconnect delay: 2000 Checking O2CB heartbeat: Active oracle1 ~]# /etc/init.d/o2cb status Module "configfs": Loaded Filesystem "configfs": Mounted Module "ocfs2_nodemanager": Loaded Module "ocfs2_dlm": Loaded Module "ocfs2_dlmfs": Loaded Filesystem "ocfs2_dlmfs": Mounted Checking O2CB cluster ocfs2: Online Heartbeat dead threshold: 46 Network idle timeout: 100000 Network keepalive delay: 5000 Network reconnect delay: 2000 Checking O2CB heartbeat: Not active [I am trying to do the upgrade on oracle1, first with oracle0 still active in production] How do I do this in a rolling manner with no downtime? -----Original Message----- From: ramick [mailto:ramick@dotster.com] Sent: Monday, December 10, 2007 9:29 AM To: 'Sunil Mushran' Cc: 'Marcos.Matsunaga@oracle.com'; 'ocfs2-users@oss.oracle.com' Subject: RE: [Ocfs2-users] OCFS2 from 1.2.4 -> 1.2.7 - Failed dependencies Yes, and you said so in your previous email - I didn't remember... I am trying to do a rolling upgrade so I have to use "service o2cb configure" to modify these parameters. I have done so and will have to wait for another maintenance window. Thank you both for your help. -----Original Message----- From: Sunil Mushran [mailto:Sunil.Mushran@oracle.com] Sent: Monday, December 10, 2007 9:17 AM To: Rich Amick Cc: Marcos.Matsunaga@oracle.com; ocfs2-users@oss.oracle.com Subject: Re: [Ocfs2-users] OCFS2 from 1.2.4 -> 1.2.7 - Failed dependencies As the faq mentions, to do a rolling upgrade, you need to ensure the cluster timeout values are the same. In this case, you should have set it to: O2CB_HEARTBEAT_THRESHOLD=46 O2CB_IDLE_TIMEOUT_MS= 10000 O2CB_KEEPALIVE_DELAY_MS= 5000 O2CB_RECONNECT_DELAY_MS= 2000 The last three were the original defaults.
